Hope In War

This life is war everyday; but the spirit of God is with us everyday for those who believe. Jesus intercedes for us daily and his love is consistent in our lives. The past is just a mirage for you to succumb to in order for you to fail and validate yourself by a false depiction of self; but God says in his word that we are new creations and nothing is new under the sun; for our battles are not won physically but spiritually. And our battles are not more so against the physical world but against dark principalities that govern it.

 

Ephesians 6:12

 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

 

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

 

Ecclesiastes 1:9

 What has been is what will be,
    and what has been done is what will be done and there is nothing new under the sun.

Alonzo Octavias Williams is a choreographer, dancer, poet, educator, and curator of many artistic disciplines. He is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a B.A. in Dance and an M.S. in Student Affairs. Williams is also the receiver of an M.F.A. in Dance performance studies from Hollins University.

He teaches and choreographs at local colleges in the South Florida community, including Nova Southeastern University and Broward College, directs dance at West Boca Raton Community High School, and commits himself to outreach and mentorship in South Florida with his creative artistic company.

As a creative director, he aims to incorporate diverse art forms that revolve around the art of dance to create impactful changes.

Williams goal for life itself is to promote community, faith, art, culture, and education by utilizing community outreach through art initiatives and creativity within diversity.

His work focuses on the discourse of and around social justice and stories of inclusion from the perspective of African American and Latinx American communities.
